Tafseer Osmani is a highly respected and widely read commentary of the Holy Quran. This tafseer was written by the great Islamic scholar and theologian, Allamah Shabbir Ahmed Osmani. Shaikh Osmani studied and taught at the prestigious institution, Darul Uloom Deoband, India. Tafseer Osmani is perhaps one of the most widely read tafseers in the world. Its simplistic style allows readers to gain a good understanding of the meaning of the Holy Quran.
Al Quran Academy Publications first published the Bengali translation of this renowned tafseer over 20 years ago. The translation was undertaken by Al Quran Academy Publication’s expert internal translation board and edited by Hafiz Munir Uddin Ahmed. The Bengali version of this tafseer consists of 7 volumes.
